J’aime Lana Del Rey.
Follement. Je considère sa discographie comme parfaite avec au moins 3 chefs d’œuvre intouchables. Et puis en R&B / Pop, c’est aujourd’hui, avec Lorde, l’artiste mainstream la plus talentueuse, celle capable de rassembler votre maman, votre fiston tout jeune, votre nièce gothique et vous, indécrottable fan indé.
2019, nouvel album de Lana, curieusement intitulé Norman F*****G Rockwell, avec sa pochette ultra kitsch, avec des bouts entiers de Gershwin et des clins d’œil réjouissants aux Beach Boys.
Un album assez épuré, sans artifice, un album où éclate une nouvelle fois tout le talent de Lana Del Rey avec des chansons incroyables, formidables (au hasard Mariners Apartment Complex, le psyché Venyce Bitch qui s’étire sur plus de 9mn, ou le très beau Bartender).
Rarement Lana se sera autant livré que sur cet album. Les textes sont un pur régal. Avec notamment la phrase de l’année : « Hope is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman like me ».
Lana Del Rey est une artiste d’une sensibilité folle, une icône américaine, sans doute celle qui aura le plus marquée la pop de ces 10 dernières années. Sérieusement, Beyoncé et Rihanna peuvent aller se rhabiller : Lana est la vraie reine de la pop, ses copines sont juste de gentilles petites princesses.
