Semaine 52: KAREN PERIS - A Song is Way Above the Lawn (2021)

 

Je ne sais plus quoi dire. Je reste muet, interdit.
Comment vous faire comprendre (si cela n'est pas déjà fait) que Karen Peris est une immense chanteuse, auteure et compositrice ? Car sur son deuxième album solo, A Song is Way Above the Lawn, la chanteuse des Innocence Mission prouve que même en solo, elle compose magnifiquement bien.

Alors oui, un album solo de Karen sonne comme un album des Innocence Mission. Et alors ? Vous vouliez que Karen Peris sorte un album de reprises emocore ?
Ici, on notera que le piano a la part belle, que les compos sont à nouveau à tomber (Superhero, I Would Sing Along ou Map For the Orange Daylight) et que cet album est à nouveau un trésor de délicatesse qui m'émeut profondément.

Doucement mais surement, chaque album de Karen trouve sa place dans ma discothèque et se révèle indispensable.
Je ne sais plus quoi dire, et c'est tant mieux. Je laisse la musique tourner, c'est suffisant.
