Je suis triste: je suis trop vieux pour m'extasier comme il se doit sur le premier album des américains d' Algiers. Pourtant ce mélange de soul poisseuse et de rock, avec une bonne couche de mysticisme (certains parlent de Gospel) devrait me séduire. Seulement, désolé les gars, mais un groupe a déjà fait tout cela et même en mieux, c'est TV on the Radio.
Alors oui, Remains est une sacré(e) chanson, il y a de la tension, du groove et de l'intensité dans cet album, mais j'ai déjà entendu tout cela.
Alors oui, le groupe sur scène est énorme, avec une belle présence, mais TV on the Radio, c'était monstrueux, une expérience quasi chamanique...
Je recommanderai donc Algiers à tout ceux qui ont moins de 25 ans, qui ont encore les oreilles vierges. Pour eux, Algiers peut être une grande claque musicale.
